Today we will discuss about Ford Escape which may soon disappear in some US states. According to a report by Ford Authority, the SUV will not be available for sale in six states. Let's understand why this happens and what it means.

The Ford Escape is a popular SUV but now it is in trouble. California and five other states that follow California's strict emission standards are banning the vehicle. These states include Massachusetts, Vermont, New York, Oregon and Washington. The reason is the engine of Ford Escape which does not meet the new environmental regulations.

These six states follow the Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) rules. Under these rules, vehicles will have to emit much less pollution. Current models of the Ford Escape, especially its gasoline and hybrid versions, are not able to pass these strict rules. Therefore, from 2026, this SUV will not be for sale in these states.

Ford has already said that it may discontinue the Escape after 2025. The company now wants to focus on electric vehicles (EVs). The Louisville Assembly Plant where the Escape is made will now work on the Bronco Sport and EVs. These changes are part of Ford's future plans.

The closure of Ford Escape sales in these six states will reduce the options for customers. Those who like this SUV will now have to look at other vehicles such as Ford Bronco Sport or Electric Models. But Escape can still be found outside of these states until its production is completely shut down.

Automobile companies are under pressure due to emission standards. States like California are bringing in stricter regulations to protect the environment. Vehicles like the Ford Escape that run on older engine technology find it difficult to comply with these rules. That's why companies are moving towards EVs.

Is there a way to save the Ford Escape? Some people say that Ford can bring it with a new engine or a fully electric model. However, the company has not revealed anything yet regarding this. If production of the Escape stops before 2027, this SUV will become history.
