According to the latest report of CarExpert, Lamborghini's tech boss Rouven Mohr has said that synthetic fuel, e-fuel, can save the internal combustion engine (ICE). This news is big for those who like the speed and sound of the engine of vehicles. Let's understand what all this is.

E-fuel is a type of artificial fuel. It is made from carbon dioxide and hydrogen present in the air. It works like normal petrol, but causes less harm to the environment. Lamborghini says that their new V8 engine, which is in the Temerario model, can run on e-fuel without any problem. This keeps the performance of the vehicle the same as it is on petrol.

Lamborghini's new Temerario model is a hybrid vehicle. It has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which in combination with three electric motors gives 677kW power and 730Nm torque. Rouven Mohr says that this engine gives the same power with e-fuel as well. That is, you get the same speed and fun as Lamborghini cars.

Rouven Mohr believes that electric vehicles (EVs) are not yet able to give the fun that engine-powered vehicles give. Lamborghini buyers want the sound of the car and the thrill of driving. Mohr says that EVs do not have that thing yet. That is why Lamborghini does not want to go completely to electric vehicles right now. They want to keep their engine alive.

Petrol and diesel vehicles are going to be banned in Europe from 2035. In such a situation, car companies have to find new ways. Lamborghini believes that e-fuel can avoid this ban. Because carbon emissions from e-fuel are very low. This will allow Lamborghini to sell its vehicles without any changes.

Lamborghini is not the only company that is relying on e-fuel. Porsche, Bentley, and Bugatti are also working in this direction. Ferrari has also shown interest in e-fuel. On the other hand, brands like Toyota, Mazda, and Subaru are also researching e-fuel to save the engine. That is, this technology can bring a big change in the auto industry.

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann said that they can start using e-fuel in racing. This will also keep their old vehicles running. Because most of Lamborghini's vehicles, which were made in the last 60 years, are still on the roads. E-fuel will help these vehicles run according to environmental rules.

Lamborghini has postponed its first electric vehicle, Lanzador, till 2029. At the same time, Ferrari is going to launch its first EV in 2025. But Lamborghini says that they will not bring EV in a hurry. They will make engine-powered vehicles until EVs are as enjoyable as their buyers want.

Lamborghini's plan is clear. They will make hybrid vehicles, like the Temerario and Urus SE, which use both engine and electric motor. Also, they will work on e-fuel so that engine-powered vehicles can continue. Rouven Mohr says that the future of the engine is not over yet. He has many ideas to make it better.
