The biggest increase will be seen in the 2026 Volvo XC90 T8 Core Plug-in Hybrid, which will increase in price from $73,000 to $76,200, an increase of 4.4%. Prices do not include the mandatory destination charges of $1,295.

The 2026 Volvo XC60 will see the biggest increase, up 5.6 percent, from $47,050 to $49,700, an increase of $2,650. The report only mentions these two bestsellers, but this price increase will be seen across the range, with an average increase of 4.2%. Even the V60 and V90 will become more expensive.

These price increases are more than just the usual adjustments made each year. For example, the new XC90, updated in 2025.5, still only had a $1,050 price increase despite the major changes. Russell Datz, Volvo's head of media relations, told CarsDirect that the increase reflects updates to vehicles as well as "rising costs and current market conditions."
