A German car manufacturer called HWA has created a fantastic car called HWA Evo. This car is a new and improved copy of the old Mercedes-Benz 190E Evo II, which was very popular in its time. The original 190E Evo II was built so that Mercedes could race it, and for this they also had to build road cars. Now HWA has done the same. They have not only built 100 cars to run on the road, but will field at least two of them in the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours race. This shows their real intent.
HWA was founded in 1999 by Hans-Werner Aufrecht. Hans-Werner Aufrecht is the 'A' of AMG. HWA has a lot of experience in building racing cars. He has built Mercedes factory racing cars and has so far built racing cars for more than 700 customers. They also make special race engines for cars like the Pagani Huayra R Evo. This shows that they have a lot of knowledge and strength behind making HWA Evo.
The HWA Evo is powered by a 3.0 -liter turbocharged V6 engine. This engine has been taken from the previous AMG C43 car and has been made more powerful. This engine gives 444 horsepower, and if you take the Affalterbach package, it can go up to 493 horsepower. The car has a six-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. It weighs around 2,976 lbs.

The engine is placed behind the front wheels for better balance and a dry-sump system is used to lower it. Its suspension comes from the KW company and is set up like a touring car racing. The price of this car is about $780,000.
HWA says its road-going car already has racing qualities. So, it is very easy to convert it into a racing car. For the race, they will make some changes to its performance, weight and safety system. It will have more power, weight will be reduced by removing some unnecessary parts, and roll cage and other things will be added for the safety of the driver. The cars will be maintained by HWA mechanics who have worked on the DTM and other race series. Famous racing drivers Roland Asch and Klaus Ludwig are also helping to improve the car.
