A very special car, which is probably going to be separated from us soon, but in a great way. I'm talking about the Lexus LC, which is often overlooked by people, but it's one of the most beautifully designed cars on the road. It looks great from every angle and is also great to drive, especially when it's powered by a 5.0 -liter V8 engine.
A new report from Japanese car website Creative Trend suggests that the Lexus LC is reaching the end of its journey. This may sound like bad news, but the good news is that if the report is true, Lexus will give the LC a rousing farewell, just like it did with its IS 500 sedan. According to the report, for 2026, Lexus is planning to create a special LC Pinnacle edition.
This Pinnacle Edition will be produced in very small numbers. In total, only 200 Pinnacle Edition cars will be made. There will be 50 LC 500 coupes and 50 LC convertibles that will be available from the lottery for those who already own a Lexus. The remaining 50 coupés and 50 convertibles will be available to the general public.

Existing owners will be able to apply in Japan until June 29, while everyone else will have to wait until July 24. Lotteries for a car may seem strange to American buyers, but in Japan it is common for such exclusive vehicles.
So what will the 200 buyers get? The LC 500 Pinnacle starts with Lexus' S Package in Japan. It is a taller model of the car with features like Alcántara headliner and two-colour leather seats. For the Pinnacle, the color of the seats will be black and white, and the leather will be Semi-Aniline which is even more luxury. The exterior paint matte will be silver, and the brake calipers will be painted in red.

The coupe model will also have carbon fibre scuff plates and a few other things. It will have special edition markings, and a Mark Levinson sound system for music listeners. It will run on 21-inch wheels. Those who buy the convertible will get Neutrino Grey paint, and tan and white leather interior.
It will have red brakes and the same 21-inch wheels. It will also have a carbon fibre rear spoiler. The top of the convertible will be sand beige in color, and while the coupe has Alcántara, the convertible will have L-tex material.

Both Pinnacle cars will have a V8 engine instead of a V6 hybrid powertrain. That's 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. It will also have a 10-speed automatic transmission and the sound of its V8 engine is probably the best in the market. Although the report suggests that this is the last journey of LC, we cannot be completely sure.
There was another report in April that said the LC models would be updated. If this update happens, it could include a new grille, new wheels, a new wing, and maybe even changes to the cabin and engine. If it does, it will be after the Pinnacle Edition.
