Honda and Acura have recently recalled 259,033 vehicles. This includes the 2021 to 2025 Acura TLX sedan, the 2023 to 2025 Acura MDX SUV, and the 2023 to 2025 Honda Pilots. This recall is very special because it is related to the brake pedal of the car.

These pedals can move from their place, which can make it difficult for the driver to stop the vehicle and increase the risk of an accident. The proper functioning of the car is very important, especially when it comes to safety.

This problem is caused by a special part, that is, the "pivot pin," which holds the brake pedal in place. Recall papers show that when the pedals were being made, this pin was not properly fixed in some pedals so that it does not slip. Honda said the problem was caused by the supplier.

The supplier was about to close its U.S. factory and move production to Mexico, and had kept more employees for a while to build up stock before this change. In addition, the QR code system used to keep an account of the parts also had a problem and had to be turned off for some time. So, this problem came up because of less experienced staff and accounting system malfunction.

The good news is, some people have complained of loose pedals, but no one has been hurt or killed due to this malfunction yet. The supplier has now installed a camera system to ensure that all the parts are properly connected. There is very little chance of such problems occurring again.

The dealer's technician will check the brake pedal. If a problem is found, the dealer will replace the pedal.
